Nouns and Adjectives

The majority of adjectives are placed after the noun.

Examples:
yon jip wouj (red skirt)
yon ponm dou (a sweet apple)
yon nonm hadi (a rude man).

Below are some adjectives that are always placed
before the noun.
big gwan / gwo yon gwo kay (a big house)
small piti / ti yon piti mango (a small mango)
grand gwan sé yon gwan chato (it’s a grand mansion)
good bon yon bon woupa (a good meal)
bad mové mové moun (bad people)
first pwèmyé / poumyé pwèmyé jou-a (the first day)
last dènyé yon dènyé chans (a last chance)
other lòt lòt jou-a (the other day)
